The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender.
There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind.
There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined.
We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith.
We have enough greed; we need more goodness.
We have enough vanity; we need more virtue.
We have enough popularity; we need more purity.

This quote from Sister Nadauld is taped on my bathroom mirror. Don't you love it? Is it not so empowering to be reminded of the qualities a faithful woman should possess? I love it. It provokes peace from every part of my being. I know I am not perfect. I know I fail my desires to be good throughout the day. But I do know, that Heavenly Father loves me. He always has loved me. And most importantly to me, he wants to see me happy. He knows how to strengthen my weaknesses so that I can be happy regardless of this world and the trials in my path. Aaron and I have been trying to get pregnant since last December and I can't convey the peace that comes from having the simple testimony that my God loves me and will place blessings in my life as He sees fit. I'm in good hands.
Yours truly, Me
It took us 6 months to get pregnant and it felt like an eternity! I'm impressed that you have the right attitude and the right perspective on things! That helps : ) I love your blog, it's great.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE who you ARE, and who you are BECOMING!
ReplyDeleteWe are on the 4 year plan...it has taken us many struggles and many years for each of our miracles. YES...there is some sweet love and divine plan from above...I wouldn't/couldn't change a thing!! You are steps ahead of where I was in waiting for my first, ever so unpatiently!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE those words!!! You are an incredible woman! We will keep you guys in our prayers!! Love your way!
ReplyDeleteI have this exact quote in my bedroom mirror and i love reading it all the time. Ive actually already known for a long time since i was younger that it wouldnt be easy to have kids, and although we arent actually trying at the moment it is something that brings me down sometimes. I just never thought to think that there were others feeling the same. Thanks Janene

ReplyDeletelauren, jenny, Mom-thanks for being my fan. I love you girls : )
Shawna-4 years?? Goodness, I can only imagine your patience is rock hard; ) You have such a darling family, I wouldn't trade them either!
Lani-hunny, no no no you're not alone! I sure hope you don't let that fear overwhelm you. What better time than now to begin strengthening your hope in faith. And vice-versus. (I've realize that the ideal time for becoming a mother will be whenever the Lord allows me to become pregnant. And that simple thought has helped me soooo much.) I just need to work at trying to stay content with how things are in the mean time ; )
